I am an urban planner who aspires to maximize human happiness in urban environments through design and policy planning.
I specialize in researching how urban design affects happiness, with critically acclaimed author and urbanist, Charles Montgomery. At Happy City, we help governments, real estate developers and international organizations, from Denver to Dubai, create happier and healthier cities.
I am an urban activist in both Cairo and Halifax, where I have founded and participated in grassroots movements that helped generate real change in my cities.
My motivation is to use my knowledge and skills to positively influence the cities I live and work in.
