Worth a try, perhaps some people come together and watch it with me, and others watch on fb at home or work ?

Whatever, I feel this one is worth watching and will encourage all my fb friends to watch it with me at one of three viewings in December 2019

Q1 what are we doing to ourselves and our kids with our food?.
Q2 What can we do about it?
Answer 2 - increase our awareness.....
Q3 Do we know or even care about what we eat?

GB India and Common Wealth on May 28th

Why Great Britain, India and the Commonwealth ? on May 28th
Vienna Hub connects people with passion across art commerce sport and education. The Commonwealth includes some 2bn people and contains a wealth of passion across all the 4 areas. Many of them are in India. So its a main theme.
Post Brexit, Vienna Hub - London Bridge has been working to provide linkage thru Vienna and London between people with passion in the UK and beyond to Austria and beyond.
By bringing people with passion together to exchange ideas, conversation and contacts it is expected to create value. As Thomas Power said in 2005 at the launch of Vienna Hub, "if you want to increase Social Capital, just go around and talk to everyone in the room". Well in this room, the focus is on Great Britain, India and the Commonwealth, so if that is an interest of yours, this could be a great room for you on May 28th

Why Happiness?
Vienna Hub connects people with passion across art commerce sport and education. We believe that finding and following your passion will support happiness. Working in a position that is or allows you to follow your passion is also important. Happiness is a major mainstream theme today, much more so than in the early days of Happiness Coaching in 2006. By bringing people with passion together to exchange ideas, conversation and contacts it is expected to create value. As Thomas Power said in 2005 at the launch of Vienna Hub, "if you want to increase Social Capital, just go around and talk to everyone in the room". Well in this room, the focus is on Happiness, so if thats an interest of yours, this could be a great room for you on 26th March, just a few days after teh UN International Day of Happiness and the 2nd Mariahilf Glueckswandertag ...

Teaching Teachers?

of English ... ?

What sort of things are of interest to teachers of English in Austria to support their work.. It seems there are two types of teachers, Native English and non Native English...  and teachers in schools and teachers not in schools.

How does MELTA support their teaching members. Are those teachers different from Austrian ones?

"MELTA is a regional professional association for all teachers of English working in the Munich area: freelance teachers at companies, private schools and the VHS as well as state school teachers.

Established in 1989, MELTA is part of a wider network of English teachers’ organizations throughout Europe and has especially close ties to other English Language Teachers Associations (ELTAs) in Germany. For events of other associations in Germany, please click here.
MELTA is also affiliated to the International Association of Teachers of English as a Foreign Language (IATEFL), based in the UK."

Brain-friendly learning with Emily Bell!
E.M. Forster wrote: “Spoon feeding, in the long run, teaches us nothing but the shape of the spoon.” In this workshop, we will look at different ways to engage the brain, and why we might want to. We will look at practical activities you can do as teachers, and tasks you can take into the classroom. Be prepared to do some yoga - but don't worry, no special clothes required, and you won't be asked to touch your toes!

Emily is a freelance ELT consultant based in York, UK. She has experience of working on six continents with ministries of education, universities, charities and private language schools where she has held positions as teacher, trainer, examiner, and academic manager. Emily’s professional interests include creating materials that encourage critical thinking, and nowadays she also likes to include yoga techniques in her teaching and training. Namaste!
