AEiR -   in .... )  Residence program.  Each batch   is open to up to 12 people, a balance of artists and entrepreneurs ( ÄiR AEiR ArtistEntrepreneur pair )

The Vienna Hub AEiR is a creative arts business residency developed by artists and business people for artists / people  of every conceivable discipline. It is stimulating and contemplative environment for international artists/creatives/entreprenurs and a meeting point for divergent and creative thinking. ( designed to be incoming agency for Erasmus creatives and Erasmus Entrepreneurs )

This is a multi-disciplinary residency, self determined, critical and profoundly engaging, in Vienna,  the most livable city in the world. It offers abundant time and space for residents to make, think, explore and learn from their surroundings.

The Vienna Hub AEiR supports a range of disciplines including, but not limited to, visual art, writing, music, dance, curatorial and film. Founded by Vienna Hub in 2022 ( we hope )  this AEiR programme is grounded in the foundation that dynamic and sustainable creative activity is the backbone to regenerating humanity and community that has been slowly abandoned over the last fifty years. (!)

Intention - by 2032,  this AiR intends to have welcomed (( over 1440 = 10 x 144 , 10 years of 12 months x 12 people )) artists and creatives to realise their projects within one of the most unique and beautiful cities of the world.  

Residents have access to various facilities and the run of the city. Accommodation ( - various on offer, shared room with shared bathroom - private rooms are negotiable )  and meals ( breakfast in hostel/home , mittagsteller at chosen venues, evening meal likewise ( ** are  available or included, as is public transport collection and return to the nearest public transport system. ) 

Duration of residency

Our   residencies are one week and up to two months ( pilot "residency" is planned for people already resident here, to engage them in the process and brainstorm future steps and contacts )

Disciplines, work equipment and assistance

DISCIPLINES AND MEDIA: Interdisciplinary: Visual Art / Sculpture / Ceramics / Dance / Theatre / Performing Arts / Music / Writing / Educational Programmes / New Media / Curatorial / Film Making
Each group of up to 12 resident artists ( will ) have an orientation presentation by a matching number of local artists upon arrival ( our AEiRs are typically for the first full week of the month ) and we are available 7x24 for assistance if required.  ( We have access to a variety of spaces for resident artists. ) 

Studio / Workspace ( to be clarified ) ( draft )

( possible - Each artist has access to a private studio in and around the residency. )

Fees and support

The residency has a fee ( of xxx€ per week + tax (10%). ) ( This covers the cost of accommodation, studio space and all meals. It also includes collection from our nearest Airport, Vienna.
The deposit is equal to one weeks residency xxx€ + tax (10%) per person. ) 

Expectations of the artist

The Selected artists are invited to  contribute a small text outlining the nature of their practice whilst in residency. This will be posted to the Vienna Hub public website along with a link to the artists website. 
Selected artists are requested to make a presentation of their work to other artists in residence and the local artists mentoring them during their period at the AEiR. This is not obligatory but it does contribute to the overall experience of all artists in residence.

Vienna Hub's working language is English.
